NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. For almost 20 years, NAMI Will-Grundy has been a trusted provider of local peer-support services for persons living with a mental health condition and for their loved ones. Support groups, education courses and community presentations are offered at no cost to participants throughout Will and Grundy Counties.

Support Groups are offered at no cost several times each week throughout the region. Pre-registration is not required. Support Groups - NAMI Will-Grundy
NAMI Connection Group is designed for adults 18 years and older who are living with symptoms of a mental health condition. This group provides a safe space to connect with one another, share stories, and receive support and encouragement.
NAMI Family Support Group is for caregivers, friends or family of a loved one with a mental health condition. Group members can help one another by utilizing their collective lived experiences and learned wisdom.
Family to Family Class is a nine-week curriculum that provides a supportive and empowering space for family members and caregivers to gain connections, understanding, and valuable tools to help support loved ones facing mental health challenges. Attendees learn how to support a loved one with compassion & understanding, how to communicate effectively & solve problems, how to manage stress & make self-care a priority, and learn of local resources.
