Early Intervention is a State funder program for families and children from birth to age 3 who have developmental delays or disabilities, or who are at risk for developmental delays. Early Intervention provides evaluations and services for children and their families who qualify.  For more information or to make a referral call the number listed below.

Programs are supported by grants from the Grundy Livingston Kankakee Workforce Board. They are designed to meet both the needs of the communities’ businesses and the needs of job seekers and those who want to further their careers. Grants are available for training individuals who meet eligibility guidelines for short-term certificate or associates degree programs. Additionally, job search services such as workshops and job postings are available.

Jump Start's goal of providing home visiting services to families is to increase families’ protective factors.  Supported families learn to increase their resilience as families.  They increase their social connections. Knowledge of parenting and development improves.  Families create a concrete support network in times of need. In addition, children’s social and emotional competence increases.

Kendall-Grundy Community Action (KGCA) provides a variety of services to residents of both Grundy and Kendall Counties.  KGCA offer home energy assistance, weatherization services and Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) which provide assistance in education, transportation, employment , information and referral services.
